In a cut-to-size project, every piece of stone is produced to the architect’s drawing: floor and wall panels, stairs, vanity tops, door frames, inlays and façade panels. The pieces are numbered, packed according to the installation plan and delivered with a piece list, so the site team knows where each one goes. VDA coordinates these projects with partner quarries and factories in Türkiye and supplies the stone directly.
From drawing to delivery
We review your drawings and bill of quantities, propose suitable stones and finishes, and send samples for approval. Production drawings (shop drawings) are prepared by the factory and approved by you before cutting starts. During production and before loading, the pieces are checked against the approved samples and the piece list.
One stone, consistent colour
On a large project, colour and vein consistency matter more than on a single order. We plan the full quantity from one quarry where possible, and agree an approved colour range with you before production starts. Pieces outside that range are not loaded.
Façades and technical requirements
For façade cladding, the stone must meet structural requirements such as flexural strength and the breaking load at the dowel hole. In Europe these products fall under EN 1469 and need a declaration of performance. We collect the test reports from the producer and check them against your specification before the stone is approved.
