What is a mobile dosing hopper?
A mobile dosing hopper (dosing bunker) is a transportable storage hopper with a controlled feeder underneath. A loader fills it with sand, gravel, crushed stone or soil, and a belt or screw feeder discharges the material at a set rate onto a conveyor or straight into a plant. Several hoppers side by side make a cold feed system that blends different materials to a recipe.
Where is it used?
Mobile hoppers feed asphalt, concrete and pugmill stabilisation plants, add a corrective sand to a crusher product, or blend materials for road base on remote projects. Because they are modular and need little foundation, they move with the project.
Belt feeder or screw?
Belt feeders move large volumes of coarse material at a steady rate. Screw feeders dose smaller quantities of fine material more precisely.

Questions buyers ask
What is an aggregate dosing hopper?
A hopper with a controlled feeder that stores aggregate and discharges it at a set rate to a conveyor or plant.
Belt or screw feeder: which one?
Belts suit large flows of coarse material; screws give finer control for small quantities of fine material.
Can dosing hoppers blend several materials?
Yes. Several hoppers in a row, each with its own feeder, blend materials to the recipe set in the control system.
