Where the jaw crusher fits

The jaw crusher is the usual primary crusher in quarries, mines and recycling plants. It takes blasted rock, river boulders or demolition concrete and reduces it to a size the secondary stage can accept. It handles hard and abrasive rock such as granite and basalt as well as limestone, gravel and recycled concrete.

Design points to compare

  • Modular, non-welded frame with cast components.
  • Hydraulic wedge adjustment of the closed side setting (CSS) at the push of a button.
  • One-piece cast pitman, solid cast flywheels and spherical roller bearings.
  • Hydraulic tramp relief that lets uncrushable material pass.
  • Replaceable jaw dies in several profiles and a protected pitman toe.

Choosing the size

The feed opening must accept your largest rock, and the capacity at your target CSS must match the plant. The table shows typical outputs. Jaw crushers are also available on skid and tracked chassis for mobile crushing plants.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask

What is CSS on a jaw crusher?

The closed side setting is the smallest gap between the jaws during the crushing stroke. It controls the product size and the output.

Which jaw crusher size do I need?

Start from the largest rock in your feed and the output you need at your target CSS. The table gives typical values; the manufacturer confirms the size from your rock data.

Can you supply jaw plates later?

Yes. Through our Direct Supply line we supply jaw plates and other wear parts, with OEM-equivalent and alternative options.
